Rémi Leroy Blanc de Noirs 2017

Vinous. Takes some time to open. But when it does...wow! Nice toasty layer. Loads of black fruit and a proper engaging mid to late. Really well done. With loads of salty, toasty elements to it. This is a gorgeous wine.

We visited Remi a few years ago in Meurville and totally fell for his juicy, rich, characterful wines. They exude generosity and it was clear that his skill both in the vineyards and the winery were going to bring something special. Years later and it is clear that he has done exactly that. He works with 8.5 hectares of mainly Pinot Noir and the wines rock.
