100% Chardonnay, 8g/ltr. Made from a single vineyard in Rilly la Montagne. A proper tropical treat. Loads of fiery pineapple, roasted nuts and oak. The palate leads in really nicely but remains strict and compact. Notes of aniseed, mint and liquorice. Such amazing length and a wine that develops beautifully in the glass.

A wonderful discovery on one of our many trips having found a bottle in one of the go to shops in Reims, Cave du Forum. A quick email to the team at Didier Herbert and we were sitting in front of a spectacular vertical of Les Coutures going back to the 1960s. Working with 30 parcels in 5 villages including Rilly la Montagne, Ludes, Verzenay and Mailly, Didier creates wines with incredible structure, complexity and an engaging character.
