Bertrand Delespierre Origines Croisées 2005 Magnum

50/50 PN/Chd, 3g/ltr.
Sweet nose full of banana, soft butter and raisins. There is a pleasant burnt toast nose just on the back end of the nose. The mousse is sublime and then you are hit with this vertical Chardonnay driven palate with brilliant acidity, nicely integrated with the toast, and this succulent red fruit note on the tip. Blackcurrants, tobacco and spice. Wow.
House Profile

Formed in 1980 by Chantal Delespierre and Didier Bertrand it is now run by their children; Clemence and Adrien. We totally fell in love with their wines when we visited in 2017 and have returned every year since.
